The Haryana Police Department is the law enforcement agency for the state of Haryana, India. Present DGP of Haryana Police is Manoj Yadava since February 19, 2019. He is an IPS officer of 1988 batch.
The Haryana Police were formed when the state of Haryana was established after bifurcation from the state of Punjab on 1 November 1966. The organisation is governed by the "Punjab Police rules" which were framed in 1934; however, the State Government passed its police act in 2008.[1] The same police practices being followed by police organisations in North India. At the time when the state of Haryana was established, the organisation had the responsibility for enforcement of the law in 6 districts and had a strength of 12,165 personnel with Commando wing.
Haryana Police comes under direct control of Department of Home Affairs, Government of Haryana. The Haryana Police is headed by Home Minister.

Haryana Armed Police (HAP) has 5 battalions, 3 at Madhuban, one at Hisar and one at Ambala.

Recruitment of Constables (Male & Female) in Delhi Police will be done by a Recruitment Board appointed by Commissioner of Police. Candidates from all parts of country are eligible for recruitment. The vacancies shall be notified to the concerned Employment Exchange in Delhi, Central Employment Exchange on all India Basis. Besides, vacancies shall also be advertised in News Papers/Rozgar Samachar inviting application for open competition. They are required to appear for Physical Examination, Written Test and Interview.
Direct Recruitment to the Ministerial Cadre shall be made only in the rank of Head Constable (Ministerial) and of Stenographers in the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector. Competitive examination for the purpose shall be held for which candidates from open competition as well as from department shall be eligible. Vacancies shall also be advertised in News Papers/Rozgar Samachars.
For Sub-Inspectors Staff Selection Commission places advertisements from time to time.
For Assistant Commissioner of Police the entire process is conducted and carried out by the Union Public Service Commission and candidates are selected through Civil Services Examination.

The Delhi Police Constable selection process has been changed from the previous one. Previously, the students had to pass the Physical Endurance Test to sit on the written exam. This year the selection process for the Delhi Police Constable is totally changed.
Now, the Delhi Police Constable Selection procedure includes a computer-based test, physical endurance test, physical measurement test & medical tests. First, the computer-based test will be conducted. You need to clear each and every stage to proceed in the further stage. The Delhi Police Constable selection process is not very tough but you need to prepare well to get selected.

The Staff Selection Commission will conduct the examination in Computer Based Examination mode on all India basis throughout the Country. Depending on a number of applicants from different States & UTs. All candidates (Male & Female) including Ex-servicemen shall be put through a Computer Based Examination of One and a half hour duration.
The Computer Based Examination will consist of one objective type paper containing 100 Questions carrying 100 marks. There will be a negative marking of 0.25.marks for each wrong answer. The question paper for Computer Based Examination on the following subjects will be conducted in Hindi and English.
